Dr. Trond Hegle graduated from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, AZ in 2008. After graduation he worked as a public health dentist with Maricopa Integrated Health System. It was during his time with MIHS that Dr. Hegle discovered his passion for endodontics.
Dr. Hegle moved to the Midwest in 2009, and earned his Master’s Degree in Endodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, MI.
Dr. Hegle is one of only a handful of endodontists that is certified to administer both intravenous (IV) and oral conscious sedation (“twilight” sedation or “sleep dentistry”). Dr. Hegle received his sedation training at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA.
Dr. Hegle is a Board Eligible Endodontist, and currently pursuing full Board Certification by the American Board of Endodontics.
His passion for education and research has also led him to pursue a Ph.D. degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and he is currently working on his research project and thesis.
Dr. Hegle is dedicated to delivering quality endodontic care to his patients. His focus is on pursuing clinical excellence and ensuring complete patient comfort.
After four long winters in the Midwest, Dr. Hegle moved back to Arizona in 2013. He enjoys staying active, and the Southwestern desert allows him to enjoy the outdoors year around. He is a marathon runner, and he enjoys summit hiking.
Having grown up in Norway, Dr. Hegle also greatly enjoys winter sports, and will hit the ski slopes of Flagstaff or Pinetop every chance he gets.
